This Privacy Policy explains how Honey Badger IT, Bangladesh ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use Vidaa AI Video Generator - Vid (the "App"), our Android application that turns your photos and text prompts into AI-generated videos. By downloading or using the App you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Data we collect and why

We collect only the data needed to run the App. The table below maps our data to Google Play's Data safety categories.

We do not collect your name, email address, precise location, contacts, or microphone data, and the App contains no third-party advertising SDKs.

2. How your photos and prompts are processed

When you request a generation, your photo(s) and/or prompt are compressed and transmitted over an encrypted connection to our backend (Google Firebase Cloud Functions) and then to our third-party AI providers (currently fal.ai and the AI models it hosts, e.g. Veo, Seedance, Kling, Wan, Ovi) solely to create your video.
Uploaded photos are processed transiently for that generation. We do not build a server-side library of your photos, and we do not use your photos or prompts to train our own AI models.
Third-party AI providers process your content as our processors, under their own terms and retention policies, only to return your video.
Generated videos are delivered back to your device and saved in the App's local History. A video is saved to your device gallery only when you tap Save.

3. No user accounts; your credit balance

The App has no sign-up and no user accounts — you never provide a name, email address, password, or social login. When you make a purchase, your credit balance and purchase record are stored on our servers (Google Firebase) in an anonymous record keyed by a device identifier, so your credits survive app restarts and can be checked securely. This record contains no identity information, is readable only from your own device, and is not used to track you across other apps or services. Because it is keyed to the device, it does not automatically transfer to a new device; restoring your Google Play purchases re-establishes your balance.

4. How we use information

To generate the videos you request and operate core App features;
To process purchases and maintain your credit balance and subscriptions;
To maintain, secure, debug, and improve the App (analytics, crash reports);
To enforce our Terms of Use, prevent abuse/fraud, and comply with law;
To respond to your support requests.

5. How we share information

We share information only with:

AI processing providers (fal.ai and the underlying model providers) — your uploaded photo(s)/prompt, solely to generate your video;
Google — Firebase (backend, database, analytics, crash reporting) and Google Play (billing);
Authorities — where required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the service.

We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. Permissions the App uses

Photos / media — via the Android Photo Picker so you can choose an image for Image-to-Video. The App does not request broad storage-access permission and cannot see photos you do not pick;
Notifications (optional) — to tell you when a video is ready;
Internet — to run generations and load content.

7. Data retention and deletion

Generation inputs (uploaded photos/prompts) are kept only as long as needed to complete the request and for short-term abuse prevention, then discarded;
Generated videos and History live on your device — removing an item from History or uninstalling the App deletes them;
Credit-balance records are kept while you use the App. You can request deletion of the record associated with your device at any time by emailing support@honeybadgerit.org (or via Settings → Contact Support in the App); we will delete it within 30 days, except information we must retain by law;
Purchase records may be retained as required for accounting, tax, and fraud-prevention obligations.

8. Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and processed on infrastructure provided by Google Cloud / Firebase. Access to your credit-balance record is restricted to your own device by Firebase security rules. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take commercially reasonable measures to protect your information.

9. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Your rights and choices

Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any right, email support@honeybadgerit.org. You can also:

Delete local content by removing items from History or uninstalling the App;
Request deletion of your device's credit-balance record (§7);
Manage or cancel subscriptions and payments in your Google Play account;
Turn notifications off in system settings.

11. International transfers

Our processors (Google, fal.ai) may process data on servers located in other countries, including the United States. We rely on their standard contractual safeguards for such transfers.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in the App or on this page, with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the revised Policy.
