Senior Backend Engineer

Design and build the systems that power our clients' products. Postgres, Node.js, distributed queues, and infra-as-code — all in service of shipping reliable software.
What you'll do
- Design APIs (REST and GraphQL) for high-throughput products
- Own data modeling, migrations, and query optimization on Postgres
- Build async pipelines with queues, workers, and idempotency
- Set up observability (Datadog, OpenTelemetry) and on-call processes
- Review architecture proposals across the team
What we're looking for
- 5+ years backend in Node.js, Go, or Python
- Production Postgres experience including indexing and query plans
- Comfort with distributed systems patterns (queues, idempotency, retries)
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP)
- Strong written communication for design docs and reviews
Nice to have
- Kubernetes or Terraform experience
- Background in fintech, healthcare, or other regulated industries
- Open-source contributions
